Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Model Instrument

How much time and money does conflict cost your business? Competing interests, high emotions and different communication styles can easily lead to conflict in the workplace… and family.

With the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI®), you can manage conflict, engage in productive discussion about the conflict and keep morale high.

The TKI tool provides an understanding of different conflict management styles, their impact on interpersonal and group (or family) dynamics, and how to choose the best approach for any situation to create more positive outcomes.

The TKI assessment identifies your typical response to conflict situations using one or more of five conflict-handling modes, or styles. These are competing, accommodating, avoiding, collaborating, and compromising. These modes reflect your varying levels of assertiveness and cooperation.

By learning the conflict-handling modes and identifying which ones you (or someone else) tend to use, overuse or underuse, you can choose the best mode for any given situation.

How it works:

You will complete an on-line self-assessment individually. Once you responses are submitted I will be able to pull together your report and share the findings and what they mean for you. From here we will create a personal development plan for you to manage conflict better and discuss strategies for managing those within your team who engage in conflict.
