Facet5 Personality Trait Profiling
Specifically designed by psychologists for use within business, Facet5 helps you understand behaviour and what can be achieved. Facet5 is the result of over 30 years of development using sound psychometric methods to create a model of personality that supports people development, in all its forms.
The five factor model of personality (or ‘Big 5’) is now widely accepted as the best way of describing the fundamental building blocks of personality. The ‘Big 5’ model consistently emerges from psychological research as the bare minimum needed to give a comprehensive description of personality and behaviour. Facet5 measures these five factors precisely and quickly to give an accurate and easily applied portrait of an individual’s personality by breaking them down into 13 sub-factors.
We all have varying amounts of each factor within our personalities depending on our personal preferences and beliefs, making each of us truly unique. It is the pattern of ‘scores’ seen across each of the factors which provides an overall picture of your personality. Once you understand your personality you can begin to see how it may help or hinder you and together we can create a development plan to enable you to better manage your personality and its impact on others or certain situations.
Why is Facet5 different to MBTi?
Facet5 is a “traits” profile. In it, personality traits are measured along a continuum rather than a forced dichotomy between one type and another. MBTi is a “type” profiler. A traits profile is a more precise and meaningful approach which allows you to understand your personality in more detail and in relation to others.
In addition, Facet5 is the only model to apply Emotionality as an interpretive factor (a lens through which to view the other factors). Emotionality impacts how the other 4 factors ‘show up’ and this can create real lightbulb moments in people’s self-awareness.
How it works:
You will complete an on-line self-assessment, for which there are no right or wrong answers, on your own and preferably at home. Once you submit your responses I will be able to pull together your report and share the findings, what they mean for you and how they relate to other personalities in one of our coaching sessions.
